A woman from Zhytomyr, Ukraine, who lost her only son at Donetsk Airport in 2014, has now miraculously received a triple blessing: she gave birth to triplets on April 12. 48-year-old Lily and 50-year-old Andrew Ilnicki welcomed their daughters Masha, Dasha and Sasha, who were born at 35 weeks.
They are currently in the intensive care unit, weighing between 1,6 and 1,8 kg each, although are otherwise stable.
Their only son, Dmitri, served in the Ukrainian 95th Brigade. He was defending Donetsk airport, in the Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone, when he was killed on his 24th birthday during an attack, on November 29 that year.

The mayor of Zhytomyr Sergei Sukhomlin has announced the city Council, with the support of a DePuy corps, will provide the Ilnicki family with a 3-room apartment, due to the fact that they presently live in a studio apartment. This is the second case of triplets in Zhytomyr this year, something very rare in a city that only has around 500,000 residents.
